Located on world famous Las Vegas Boulevard, Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino brings a taste of Europe to the Nevada desert.
From shopping and gaming to wining and dining, this glittering Las Vegas resort is so similar to the real thing, it might even fool de Gaulle.
Casino Gaming at a Las Vegas Hotel
The casino at Paris Las Vegas offers the usual assortment of games of chance. These gaming (gambling) opportunities can be found in any of four basic categories:
- Keno – The numbers 1-80 are available in any game, and the house will pick 20 per game. Players can select up to 15 of these numbers. The more of the players numbers that come up in each game, the higher the payout. Little skill is involved, and this game can be played while eating or setting at the bar.
- Slots – The “one armed bandits,” slot machines are the most popular game in Las Vegas. Put a selected amount of money in the machine and pull the handle. Good luck.
- Race and Sports betting – Paris Hotel and Casino features a sports book, where legal bets can be placed on sports and racing. From a relatively meaningless baseball game to the Super Bowl, sports junkies can get their fix here.
- Table games – Table games featured at Paris Las Vegas include craps, poker, pai gow poker, roulette, mini baccarat, and baccarat. A Las Vegas vacation might allow patrons of Paris Hotel and Casino to rub elbows with James Bond. He’ll be the one with the tuxedo, a stack of chips in one hand and a vodka martini, shaken, not stirred, in the other.
Paris Las Vegas is owned by Harrah’s Entertainment, the same company that owns several other Las Vegas hotels, including Caesars Palace. The two properties have a comp system called Total Rewards. This allows players to generate free meals, drinks, rooms, etc. based on the amount of play that they give each casino.
Dining at a Las Vegas Hotel
All the casino action can work up a powerful hunger, and Paris Las Vegas has a well stocked pantry. More than 10 different restaurants offer dining for any budget, from snacks to gourmet extravagance.
One popular choice is Le Village Buffet, which takes diners on a culinary journey through the five provinces of France. This buffet is consistently ranked as the best in Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
For those who had good fortune in the casino, only the Eiffel Tower Restaurant will do. A decidedly upscale experience, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant features French cuisine from Chef Joho. This restaurant is known for the food and the spectacular ambiance. Located more than 100 feet above street level, a fabulous view of the Fountains of Bellagio is right outside the window.
Shopping at Paris Las Vegas
The casino and the restaurants do accept cash, and so do a couple shopping venues. The Bally’s-Paris Promenade and the shops at Le Boulevard feature upscale shopping opportunities for all things French. If it can be found in Paris, France, it can probably be found at Paris Las Vegas.
So, if a Las Vegas vacation is on the schedule, why not go to Paris at the same time? Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino will cater to every need, the weather is almost always warm, and they love American money. Besides, the Concorde was so yesterday.
